Oquirrh Mountain Compost helps maintain this beautiful yard.

Oquirrh Mountain Compost Products may be used for a variety of horticultural and landscaping applications.  The following table lists the most common uses for the five Oquirrh Mountain Products.  In all cases, the Compost Product will enhance soil by providing valuable nutrients and organic carbon matter to planting materials which improves soil structure, workability, water retention and available plant nutrients.  Surface applications of Compost Mulch and Wood Chips will help retain soil moisture, reduce erosion and suppress weeds.  As with any high-nutrient product, care should be taken not to over-apply Oquirrh Mountain Compost Products.

To see the benefits of Oquirrh Mountain Compost Products in action, please visit our Demonstration Garden on the west side of the Administration Building parking lot at the Central Valley plant site.  This garden was started in 2014 on poor clay soil and produces a wide variety of vegetables that are harvested and used by CVWRF employees.
